Samuel Umtiti has reportedly turned down Arsenal's offer for a move to the Premier League club in January.

The France international has made clear that he wants to stay at Barcelona as he believes that he is currently at the best club in Europe.

According to Le Parisien, Arsenal officially expressed their interest in the 26-year-old centre back, who immediately rejected their bid.

Umtiti, who has played 10 games so far this season, is confident that he will get more playing time under new Barcelona coach Quique Setien.

However, the Gunners are not willing to give up and they will approach the player again in summer, with Inter also interested in the Frenchman.
